As everyone knows, I love making poems as book reviews- and luckily, this week's skill focus is to write a book review!! Here we go~ (But sadly, the poem this time is not good)
<Bridge to Terabithia>
Seoin Lim
When one is isolated
When one is full of hatred of the world
When one is sad and lonely
When one is solitary
Oh, what does a helping hand do?
When I stand outside
Meeting the cold air
When I run all the way down the hill
As a dagger pierces my heart
Oh, what does a helping hand do?
When the east wind blows
And I hear a distant howl of a wolf
Someone passes me
In the darkness
No, she was not passing
She was coming toward me
Why, that has never happened before!
For how can I be seen?
The stranger holds out her hand
And smiles
I shake my head left and right
This has got to be a dream
But is it a dream?
I feel a warm breeze passing by
It feels so real
It feels so solid
The stranger is still holding out her hand
Should I grasp it?
Times when I got fooled
I can remember it so well
When I, too, extract my hand from my pocket
To hold out the hand
A birch tree seems to grow in my heart
As my hand is inches from her hand-
Bang!
Oh, why had they had to take away my hand now?
Why hasn’t it waited for a second longer?
When I have finally seen a helping hand?
Why, why, why?
Let us feel sorrow
For the downfall of hope
The fall of happiness
The death of the twinge of joy
For they will never appear again
For they will be gone
For they have been burned to ashes
By unlucky tragedy
But don’t worry, don’t worry
A new plant is sprouting
New fresh leaves are born
Healthily growing
When you have lost one
You will gain one
For that is nature
For that is life
