{You will know soon why I have written the date and time)

Hi! Today I'm starting this blog with a picture.

First, Hyun-Choong-Won is where dead people, who did memorable things to the country goes to. It's a grave. There are two Hyun-Choong-Wons in Korea: One in Seoul, One in De-Jeon.

I will list some things that you do to go into a Hyu -Choong-Won.

  1. Fight for the country(in wars)

  2. Become a president

  3. become someone who represents the country

  4. etc

So basically, you have to do really good stuff. This means that every people in the Hyun-Choong-Won grave did really good stuff.

And I can proudly propose the motion.. wait what? Proudly propose the motion? What am I talking about? Hem Hem, I will start again...

And I can proudly present the fact that my great grandparents are in the Hyun-Choong-Won!

My great grandfather fought as a soldier in the Korean war(6.25 war)! Also, he continued to be a soldier until he couldn't continue his job. And my great-grandmother was his wife so she was buried in Hyun-Choong-Won too.

They say I met him before when I was less than 1 year old. And of course, I don't remember that. But I know that they are telling the truth because they have a photo of my great grandfather holding me up in the sky. And um I was smiling.

Anyways as anyone doesn't remember their 1-year-old life(maybe except for the kid in the Diary of Wimpy Kid because he says he remembers when he was in his mother's belly) I don't remember either. So I don't have any real memory of him.

But my dad does remember. It's because he grew with his grandparents so he was very close to them.

Hi everyone again! I went to the Hyun-Choong-won yesterday!

It was kind of very very tiring. It was because it takes 3 hours to go to De-Jeon!!

  1. 3 hours to Daejeon

  2. 20 minutes of doing Korean traditional stuff(Je-sa)

  3. 3 hours back home!!

So basically, 6 hours in the car, 20 minutes doing what we're supposed to do.

But it wasn't all bad. It's because I love pop music, and I heard it for 6 hours! I didn't sleep a second. It's very simple- if you hear boring music that mom likes, you sleep, but if you hear music that I like, you don't sleep.

This simply means that I heard my favorite music all the way to Daejeon and all the way back to Seoul.

My family doesn't have any religion, but my dad has the sort of Korean Traditional Mind which means that he kind of thinks that his great grandfather might be watching him. But he thinks it's pathetic himself. But he can't erase that thing, since he was grown with that. It's kind of similar to where my dad can't cut the noodles of Neng-myeon with scissors. It's because my great grandfather was like, "HOW CAN YOU EVEN POSSIBLY THINK OF CUTTING THAT PRECIOUS NOODLE YOU'RE TRYING TO CUT YOUR LIFE!!"

→Translate: Korea has a tradition that noodle means life

It was kind of creepy to think that your ancestors might be watching you while you do the je-sa. It kind of reminds me of Coco, the movie. Like this:

In this scene, as I can remember, the grandfather-who-died is talking to grandmother-who-died that the girl-is-still-alive has grown a lot. Creepy!

Anyways, I realized that the blog is berry berry long. Bye now!
