At least everybody had heard of Minari, right? “I don’t know any grass thing”. No, the Minari I am talking about today is the Movie Minari. “Ohhhhhhhhh.” So, I watched the movie Minari today (Sunday), and today, I am going to write a review about it.
Minari is about a Korean family who came to America for a new life, also called the American Dream. The family had a sick brother. Anyways, the family moved to America and started farming, but their Grandmother became sick, so she couldn't move half of her body. However, the good news here is that the farming did go well. Also, the Minari grandmother planted was growing very well. When the mom decided to go to Kentucky for the grandmother, the mom first checked the brother because he is ill. The hospital said the brother was improving. However, the mom needed to leave the grandmother, and that was a mistake. The kind grandmother who couldn’t move half of her body wanted to help her family, so she started burning the trash (They didn’t have a trash truck). But, as she couldn’t move well, a first started, causing all the fruits from the farming to be gone to ashes. The family came and tried to save the last fruits, but it was helpless. All the fruits were burned. The last scene of the movie was when the father went where the grandmother planted the Minari and collected them.
The reason why my family decided to watch this movie was because we wanted to know why Yoon Yeo - Jeung got the famous prize. However, all of our family wondered why. In my opinion, Yoon Yeo - Jeung acted like the other actors. But why did she get the prize? I think this is because Yoon Yeo - Jeong is very old. so she can't act well. However, she acted well (I think, sort of). Also, acting like you are very sick is very hard. I think she also got the prize for that too. However, one thing I want to tell you. I still wonder why Yoon Yeo - Jeung got the prize, because I think she wasn’t like “Wow! Very Fantastic, Awesome, and it is perfect!”. Please leave your opinions in the comments below!
