Hi guys, my name is Anne and I am new to this class. I like reading, drawing and playing violin. So I thought I'd write about violin (mainly because I couldn't think of anything else to write about).
I am currently in a orchestra, my part as violin. I like playing violin in orchestra because they give out really good songs to practice and I think I have learned a lot with just practicing with them. The songs they give out are mostly very tricky to play. But I feel like I've made a huge achievement when I practice and feel myself getting better with songs, and sometimes play them perfectly. It gives me more confidence to start a new song and all of it just starts all over again.
I do not really have a reason why I like playing violin- but probably because I get bored all the time. I only go to three academies including Peai, so I have half an hour or a whole hour of free time every day. It was worse when I was in Pennsylvania. There are no academies there, so after I finished my homework and extra work from Korean math, I literally had nothing to do. Playing with my friends had a certain limit and so does the weight of bringing textbooks for my study. So I decided to join the school orchestra in Pennsylvania. I only played piano as an instrument before, but there was no piano in the orchestra so I had to choose another instrument. Other instruments like bass or guitar or viola seemed boring, but violin standed in front of any other instruments.
Without thinking I chose violin. And I really enjoyed playing it so after a month or two after I arrived back in Korea, I begged my mom to let me keep playing violin. And I learned so much in my music academy and I finally got into the audition of the orchestra.
So basically that is how and why I play the violin.
Wow! So me, Anne(you) and Sarah all play violin??
