A memorable event

I had a very memorable event recently. It was my mother’s birthday.(Well, I almost forgot it) Mostly, we did not do anything on my parents’ birthday. We just said “happy birthday” and that was all. But this time, I wanted to make it more than that. And that is one of the reason that this event was meaningful. Well, I could not do a very big thing. I wrote a letter to mother with my heart and my dad bought mom’s favorite chocolate cake. (that cake was really hard to find). We also decided to eat at mom’s (and my) favorite Italian place.

Before I write about the actual event, I will write about a few reasons about why this event meant something. Firstly she was my mom. We were families. That is a simple reason. Secondly, she ‘made’ me. When she was not here in this world, I also would not be here. (also on my birthday, we should say that she was the one who was tired the most) It is an important day when the person that made me was born. Lastly, she always did her best on my birthday. She gave me presents I always wanted and she brought me to the best place for lunch or dinner. I never really did anything so I felt a little bad too. That was how much this event was meaningful.

Now I will tell you about what actually happened and my thoughts about this memorable event. After my taekwondo academy, we went straight to the (my mom’s and my) favorite Italian place. Our family talked a lot about what was happening at school and work. well I was on vacation so I talked about so many academies) Since we do not get time to talk all together as a family, this was the chance. Even though I really like talking with my family and all of my family like it too, they are really busy. I am always doing homework and my mom is doing work at home after coming back from her work, and my dad comes late and goes to work before I wake up. Time does not allow us to talk. My parents said that they are having a hard time at work. It was very tiring and they have so much to do. Even though I did not really know what they were really talking about and what do they really do at work, I felt bad that they were having a hard time. My parents ate a big steak and I ate my favorite an oil spaghetti. I really liked it. I imagined it was not on my birthday but we are at my favorite restaurant eating my favorite food! My parents do not take me to this Italian restaurant a lot. They go where they want. It was not even my birthday but we are doing things like it is my birthday! It was awesome! (^^)But my mom should be the center.

Today was supposed to be all about her ( I think) It felt really good looking into her beautiful smile after reading my card. Also I felt good when she said she like the chocolate cake.(I also really liked it too) I told dad to buy that special cake because it was mom’s favorite. It must have been hard to find it. I think it was memorable because of many ways. First, we never did this kind of thing before. Second, (well) it was my mom’s birthday! Third, we went to my favorite place and ate my favorite dish. Fourth, I felt like I had achieved something and made someone thankful of my action. I was very proud of myself, Lastly, I will never forget the smile that she made after reading my letter. It was the best smile ever!
