Hi, this is Greene. I read a book called Ace: the very important pig. Ace is Farmer Tubbs’ pig. Farmer Tubbs named him Ace because he had a birthmark that looked like an ace of clubs.
But Ace was special for an entirely different reason. He could understand humans, and also could communicate with humans. Two grunts mean yes, and a grunt means no. Ace would have been sold to the market and had been eaten if Farmer Tubbs didn’t realize that Ace was special. But he did, and Ace became Farmer Tubbs’ pet pig. He started living inside the farmer’s house along with a fat collie and a cat.
Later, Ace finds out how to use the television, and starts to get a little addicted to television. The collie and the cat also really enjoyed watching television. Ace learns a lot of new words and that if he had been sold to the market, he would have been sent to the slaughterhouse.
Farmer Tubbs told all his friends about Ace. Ace became very famous. Ace gets to be on television, and they enjoy it a lot.
After I read this book, I decided that I didn’t want a pig, mostly because they taste so good. I also want to read Babe: the gallant pig, which is written by the same author, and also about a pig.
