The Little Prince
By. Jasmine Hong
Have you ever read The Little Prince? Even though it is very short and doesn’t look fun, deep inside, it tells us many secrets about the whole world. I will not spoil the whole book, but only the important parts, since you might want to read. ^_^
The Little Prince contains impressive and philosophical sentences such as these ones:
- “There might be millions of roses in the whole world, but you’re my only, unique rose.”
- “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
- “What makes the desert beautiful… is that it hides a well, somewhere.”
- “All grownups were all children, but only a few remember.”

The first and third sentence tells the importance of other people. Everyone is special and unique not because of a big reason, but because they are themselves. You are special because you are you, and you should be proud of it.

Also, the second sentence tells us an important moral. Essential things, such as friendship and love are invisible, but we can still see it with our hearts.

Finally, the sentence that I agreed with the most is the fourth sentence. Often, adults like our parents or teachers seem to be unfair and unjust to us, and don’t think about our feelings, and this sentence is telling us the perspective of children.

I think this is a really great story, and I hope you get to read it!
