Hi guys!! I`m Inkang and today I will write my blog post about a famous Italy fashion store named DOLCE & GABBANA. Some of you guys might know this brand because this brand came out on TV. This brand was made in 1985 by two people who are Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce. These two people are CEO`s of DOLCE & GABBANA. The reason why I wrote about DOLCE &GABBANA is what I am going to write right now. Well, to summarize what I`m going to write, this brand just lost it`s fashion show at China because they did a very bad thing. Such a bad thing that will make some of you scream out bad words until you are out of breath and some of you just say "Hey. So what. I don`t care". Well, the bad thing is that they just showed the world an advertisement that disparaged Asians. An Asian tries to eat a pizza with chopsticks. She can`t eat it with it so she just eats it with her hand. There`s a subtitle down and it said `chopsticks are not for pizzas`. This was the advertisement for the `THE GREAT SHOW` which was going to be opened in China. Lot`s of China models said that they would not be in the show which made the show be gone. How do you feel about this situation? I personally feel bad. I wish that people who are not Asians would not make fun of us. What about you? Insensitive. Fifteen years ago, this kind of advertisement may have irked a few people, but they wouldn't have had a the medium to express themselves. Social media is no paradise, but it does allow this minorities to be heard.
