Fine dust

Don’t you think that it is annoying that we have to wear a mask every time we go out because of the fine dust? Nowadays, you can see tons of people wearing masks and talking about the fine dust in korea. Fine dust is actually so small that it can get stacked into your lungs and affect your health. It can also lead to bad dieseases like astma and can cause skin and eye irritation. Yet where is all of this harmful dust coming from? Well, according to Korean herald.com, 70% of korea’s fine dust is coming from china. Have you heard of the recent news article that said that china had moved all their factories literally next to korea? I think that if 70% of our fine dust is coming from china, if korea manages to persuade the Chinese government to stop putting their factories next to the border, we would not have to wear any annoying masks and be afraid of the air that we breathe in. About 220000 people have complained to China, but our government has not done anything about this except for advising us to wear masks. Yet, how effective is the annoying masks that our government told us to wear? According to Koreanherald.com, regular fine dust masks can only block about 46% of the fine dust. That means that if we wear normal fine dust masks, we will be inhaling more than half of the fine dust. However, masks with KF80, KF94, and KF99 can block about 99% of the fine dust. So, this probably means that we would have to wear masks and be afraid of the air until our government can persuade china.
