Hi, this is Greene. This book is about Mr. Fabiano’s sixth grade class. When Mr. Fabiano is absent, the substitute never shows up, and they decide to run the class by themselves for the day.
Everything went perfectly well until they realized that it was the sixth-month anniversary of Tommy Feathers, their classmate who died. Tommy used to like Rachel, who stopped talking after Tommy died. It was also Bastian’s last day of school. So they decided to do a rock ritual, which was what Mr. Fabiano did whenever someone left the class.
During the rock ritual, Rachel and Bastian got really angry at each other and had a big argument. They both ended up crying, but for a different reason. Bastian had to send Barkley, his puppy to a quarantine for four months when he moved away. He decided that he couldn’t let that happen to Barkley and gives his puppy to Sean. Rachel was upset that she had not been very nice to Tommy Feathers when he was alive. Before going home, they had an assembly for sixth graders. There was a very famous storyteller, and he wanted to have some help for his story, four of the sixth grade teachers. The other teachers found out that they didn’t have any teachers that day. When Mr. Fabiano comes back to school, Rachel starts speaking again, and they write about what happened on Friday.
I would have done much better than Mr. Fabiano’s class did. This book was very interesting and I enjoyed reading it a lot.
