Not a long time ago, people with darker skin used to get a much different treatment than the people with white skin. Bus seats, sinks, parks, schools, everything was different for them. That is still happening now. Asians and black people are getting discriminated while they are the same humans with just different skin color. Skin color does not really mean anything for most people. But, it is happening in Asia too. Asians had a much better image of people with green or blue eyes, brown and blonde hair, and white skin than people with orange colored skin, black hair, and black eyes. Everyone knows that this is not something that should happen, but people still do it.
A professor who got inspired my Marin Luther King Jr.’s sacrifice did an experiment with her third grade class. She divided her class with brown eyes and blue eyes. And for that period of time, blue eyes were the superior group and the brown eyes were the minority group. The teacher also discouraged the groups from interacting and singled out the individual students to stress from the negative characteristics. And from that point forward, the superior group got privileges. The students showed great difference. The superior group performed great academically showing better scores and also bullied the minor group. But, the group who represented the minority showed worse scores with less self-confidence. After, she changed the groups and made the brown eyed group the superior group and the blue eyed group the minority group. The students showed the same reactions.
After the experiment, all the students were all relieved that they have reported to have embraced one another and judged that people should not be judged from outer appearances.
