Matilda

Hi, this is Greene. Recently, I read this book called Matilda by Roald Dahl. It’s about a girl called Matilda Wormwood. She doesn’t realize this, but she is a genius and she loves reading. Matilda lived with her parents. Matilda also lived with her older brother.

Her father wasn’t a very honest man. He lets people buy cars, which look new, but these cars are actually very old. He does this by using sawdust, and his electric drill. Everyone in Matilda’s family loves to watch television, except for Matilda.

When Matilda was five and a half, she started going to primary school. Her first teacher was Miss Honey. On the first day of class, Miss Honey discovers the extraordinary powers Matilda has. She tries telling this to Mrs. Trunchbull, the headmistress of the school, but she ignores Miss Honey.

Matilda also discovered a new talent, moving things with her eyes and brainpower without touching it. Meanwhile, she gets closer to Miss Honey and finds out that Mrs. Trunchbull was Miss Honey’s aunt. To help Miss Honey, she uses her powers to scare Mrs. Trunchbull into running away. After that, Miss Honey became the headmistress of the school.

One day, Matilda’s parents decide that they need to run away from people who are trying to catch them from cheating on people. Matilda also decides that she will be adopted by Miss Honey. Her parents say yes, and she gets to live with Miss Honey.

I thought this book was very interesting and funny. I wish I could be like Matilda so that I can make things easier for me. This book was a really good book and I recommend it a lot.
