Hi guys! The weather is getting cooler and cooler everyday! So good! I wish fall comes a little quickly. But, a bad thing will be that the nighttime gets longer and daytime gets shorter :(.
Recently, I read this book which was a part of Greek and Roman myths. Its name is Pandora's box. It starts like this. There were no women first when they made humans. There were only men. So the gods made a woman and gave her their best abilities like beauty, wisdom and etc. Zeus was the last god to give his present. He gave her a mysterious box and curiosity. Her name was Pandora and she was sent to the humans' world. Because of her beauty, the brother of a god who got punished from Zeus got in love with her. They married and they did live happily for a while. As time passed, Pandora's curiosity about the mysterious box that Zeus gave made her painful. One part of her told her to open the box, follow your feelings. The other part told her you should not open the box because Zeus said not to. But Pandora could not win her curiosity and opened the box. In the box, there where diseases, arguments, fights that Zeus put in to punish the selfish humans. When Pandora saw that, she closed the box as quickly as she could. So only one thing could not get out from the box. That was 'hope', one thing that Zeus put in that was good.
After I read this book, I thought that humans did have selfishness and greed. The also do not have the wisdom and true beauty of mind like the gods. At some point, humans are not good creatures at least to some other creatures. Not in the myth, but right now in our lives. Even though we are the most developed and intelligent creatures in the world, does that mean that we can kill animal and eat them? We are evil creatures from the point of animals. I wish all the world's human get more polite and manners to all other people so our world will be a better place.
