Pets, cats dogs, mice, birds, turtles, fish, ants, etc... There are so many pets in the world, and most children have them. I have a turtle, although it's really sister's and I want a cat. In this blog post, I will try to explain about those pets and also explain about my favorite kind of pet, a cat.
Pets provide their owners both physical and emotional benefits. Walking a dog can provide both the human and the dog with exercise, fresh air, and social interaction. Pets can give companionship to people who are living alone or elderly adults who do not have adequate social interaction with other people. There is a medically approved class of therapy animals, mostly dogs or cats, that are brought to visit confined humans, such as children in hospitals or elders in nursing homes.
Then, what about my favorite kind of animal, a cat? With a strong flexible body, quick reflexes, sharp retractable claws and teeth adapted to killing small prey. Cats can hear sounds too faint or too high in frequency for human ears, such as those made by mice and other small animals. They can see in near darkness. Like most other mammals, cats have poorer color vision and a better sense of smell than humans. Cats, despite being solitary hunters, are a social species, and cat communication includes the use of a variety of vocalization (mewing, purring, trilling, hissing, growling, and grunting) (I think I never saw a cat growl or grunt!) as well as cat pheromones and types of cat-specific body language. Cats have a high breeding rate. Cats are thought to be primarily responsible for the extinction of 87 species of birds. A 2007 study, cats are the second-most popular pet in the U.S. by number of pets owned. In a 2010 study, they were ranked the third-most popular pet in the UK, after fish and dogs, with around 8 million being owned.
However, there is a sad truth too. Many pets are being abandoned by their owners. However, there many kind people in the world that help these poor animals, thank goodness.
So, I recommend you that you rather adopt a pet than buy one, and if it's adopted, help it recover its memories of the pain in the past. Put the best paw forward, everybody!
