I do believe you are all doing sewing at school these days, finished it, or haven't started it yet. Anyway, my school is doing sewing now, and I just love it. When I was young, I 'sewed' on paper; and I wasn't that good exactly so my sewing always ended with sticking a bunch of tape on the paper's back, and that explains the paper. Now that I had the chance, I tried my best. At first, I couldn't make the knots and it got quite frustrating because I had to get my teacher's help a lot. But soon, I came to do it and although my sewing was a bit wiggly and not straight, it became much easier. That's one thing I learned.

The other thing I learned is that there are lots of kinds of sewing. The first one is basting stitch, and it is a type of sewing that you do in order to hold two clothes together. When you end the sewing, you rip(cut) it off. The second one is broad stitch(running stitch) and the stitch is 0.2~0.4 cm. Also, the stitch's space is 0.2~0.4 cm. The third one is back stitch. You usually use this type of stitching when you decorate the cloth's cover or when you want your clothes well stitched not to rip. However, most of the time, I use the broad stitch.
After we finished practicing the stitches, we finished sewing on the buttons (That part was easy as long as I saw my textbook)too, and now teacher says we are going to make a picture by sewing. I am sewing a horse, and I like the way when the needle swims through the cloth and leaves colored stitches behind. I'm also trying to make a Christmas present for my family by sewing. I already finished sister's bunny with cotton and a hook. (my sister's) I recently started making my dad's chick. I wish it will come out pretty.
Have fun and watch out for the needles!
I just got pricked by one today and it bleeds. T.T
