What do you think about when you hear the word animal testing? Well, although most people might think about little and cute animals getting harmed by things that scientists put in their bodies. However, even if this cruel act seems bad, I think that it is not because if the tests were not on animals, either the cruel tests would have happened on humans or a lot of cures for serious dieseas would not have existed.
Also, studies show that Animal testing had made a life-saving cures and treatements. The choice to sacrifice many animals for the testing of our medicne migh seem very hard, but we have to make the choice to continue animal testing for the sake of humanity. Although some people might say that since animal's DNAs are different from people's DNAs and that animal testing might have obvious flaws, this is completley not true because reaserches have shown that humans share the DNA of the animals that are getting tested like chimpanzees and mice. Also, Chimpanzees share 99% of their DNA with humans, and mice are 98% genetically similar to humans. I think that this piece of evidence proves that animal testing is not a policy to kill animals and spend precious taxes.
In conclusion, although animal testing might seem cruel and unhumane, I believe that animal testing is needed for new developments in medicne that could save a lot of people from various dieseas. However, I feel that we still have to thank the poor animals that sacrificed their lives to help our world be a better place.
