At my birthday, I got this game called Splatoon 2 for nintendo switch. Even though my b-day was at august, I didn't write a blog on this because I wanted to know this game before I writea blog on it. At this game, you can turn into inklings to swim (and super jump to other players) at the ink, or shoot ink as a kid. There are three modes at this game: Octo canyon, regular, salmon run. You can either go to the octo canyon and play single player, or go to the lobby and play turf war. (there's also a co-op mode called salmon run, but I can't figure out how to go there.) At the octo canyon, you can search for the hidden kettles, visible when hit by ink to earn the zapfishes, the power source of the inkapolis. At each map, you can earn some zapfishes to go to the boss kettle to fight the boss. After you finish all five stages, you can earn a hero weapon that you can use at regular battles. At regular battles, you can use seven (as far as I know) types of the weapons in the game. And, each weapon comes with the set of subs (bombs) and specials.
The seven main weapon types are the shooters, the rollers, the chargers, the sloshers, the dualies, the splatlings, and the brellas.
The shooters are automatic and with (mostly) low damage but good rate of fire. The blasters such as the range, luna blasters has damage that could 1-shot (except rapid blasters) but bad rate of fire.
The rollers are close-ranged weapons that can mostly one shot opponents (except carbon roller). But, the brushes requires 3-4 shots to splat an opponent. That was compensated for good mobility.
The chargers are the snipers of the game, most of them suitable for one shot (exceppt bamboozlers). Some of them comes with a scope, allowing to target people farther.
The sloshers are basically the heavy weapons of the game, strong enough to splat opponents in two shot with slow bullet speed and good area damage.
The dualies are two automatic blasters with a unique ability to roll (I don't know how). They need 2-4 shots to splat an opponent depending .
The splatlings are gatling guns with a fast firing rate. Unlike other automatic guns, you can charge this to make it fire many shots at once while releasing the trigger.
Finally, the brellas are umbrellas that you can create a wall with it. It deals high damage (1-2shot) with high ink consumption.
Also, you can acquire gear from shops with abilities such as better mobility (speed ups), ink savers (main,sub), etc. There are also unique abilities restricted to certain types of gear. For example, respawn punisher's (slows respawn time) restricted to clothing, while stealth jump (hides the super -jump location) is restricted to shoes.
