I had one of my best days in school recently. My favorite subject(one of my) is PE.(physical education) I just like running and playing with balls. For sports with balls, I like dodgeball, football, soccer, baseball, basketball and much more. I also like running too. I like everything. We had our 'PAPS' which is an annual event that happens at school to see your skills at PE. I do the same thing at taekwondo twice a year too. I really liked doing it. There were running back and forth, jumping far, running 50 meters, measuring how much you can stretch. My favorite would be running back and forth. There was a limit and when you could not pass that limit, you would need to come early and exercise. Thankfully I passed everything. The limit was different from boys and girls too. And we also did our PE event. It is when the whole 5th grade played games together. but first I will tell you about PAPS.
First, we did jumping far. You jump from your spot, not moving. Well you do need to move your hands and knees. My best score was 2 meters. This was really fun too. Next, we did running back and forth. There were 110 as the total. a bell rings when you should run and come back. You need to come back before the bell rings again. You keep doing that and I finished all 110. I was not tired at all. It was really fun. I would say this is my favorite. Thirdly, we did putting legs straight and measuring how much you can stretch. Our teacher made sure our knees do not go up. This was the worst. It was painful and I was not good at stretching. It is measuring how much you can go over your toe and many people got a minus. The limit for this was that boys only needed to do 1 cm and girls had to do 5cm. I could go over that but I think that was really unfair. I got 12 cm. Lastly, we did 5 meter running. You run as fast as you can for 50 meters and see how many seconds you took. There were really fast boys in our class and the best score was 8'98" That was only about 9 seconds! After that I was the second place. I got 10 second. It might be weird but there was no one over me except for him. This was really fun.
Next, we did our school's "small" PE event. Last year, the whole school did together but when the principle changed only grades did it together. The whole 5th grade divided as two teems as odd and even number classes. I was 5-5 so I was the odd number of the 'green' team. We did flipping pads, passing balls, and throwing balls. Two classes did it together and everything we did, we won. Also the odd number classes won. We were supposed to do it outside but because of fine dust, we had to do it inside which meant we could not do running. Many students wanted to do it but when they could not, they said that it was no fun at all. Our teacher told us that all teachers tried to make it fun but when the students say it was bad, that is sad and rude. For a second I also thought that it was not fun as much I thought it would be but after I heard our teacher, I was truly sorry for her. I was just liking to do something I like, PE.
It was so happy and fun to do my favorite subject for so long time in one day. It was one of my best days from school!
