The city of Ember

Now, in PEAI, we are learning a book called the city of ember. The city of Ember is a very dirty city and it needs electricity because the only light source there is the sun and the electric light bulbs. Also, children go to work really early, because the town mayor assigned their jobs when their school almost ended. Isn't this child labor? Also, the habitat is really bad. The children go to jobs like the pipe works and like the electric engineer. Also, there is not much time to share stories. Food supplies are running low and the potatoes are infected by some kind of disease, so you can no eat the potatoes. They could grow beans, but the soil is not so good, so the beans couldn't grow in the soil. The book was hard to understand and this is only the second time I am reading this book, but this book is a series, so I think that it would be very fun to read the 2,3,4th book and connect the stories to make a story timeline. I think that I would like this book very much. Even, now, I love this book so much!!
