The Grimm Brothers

I began to read these series in my library, which was in the “literature” isle. I like to read literature books like this, so that book was very noticeable. This book is written by the Grimm Brothers, which are very famous for these stories. In the 3rd book, there are 35stories of them, but I liked the one about the legendary bird.
Long ago, a farmer had three sons. The third son was Hans, but everyone thought he was a stupid boy. One day, a princess was sick and the king said if someone brings apples, she will become healthier and the person who brought it will marry the princess. The farmer sent his first and second son to the princess, but on the way, they met a dwarf who asked them what is in the basket they were holding. The two brothers said that there were other things like frog legs and pig hair, and when they arrived, there were really frog legs and pig hair inside! The farmer sent his last son without hope. He was sure Hans would fail, but Hans said the truth to the dwarf on the way and safely gave apples to the princess. Then, the king asked him to do more things and one of them was getting the legendary bird’s feather. On the way, Hans gets requests from others because many people said the bird knew everything. By the bird’s wife’s help, Hans gets a feather and gets to know all the answers of the requests he gets. When Hans returns, everyone are surprised and a magnificent wedding ceremony was held.
I think this story teaches us not to depreciate other people and also tells us to say the truth to other people. This is a fun and doctrinal story.
