Hi! Today I will be writing a blog post about the second book in the City of Ember series. The name of this book is 'The people of sparks'. This story basically starts out with Doon and Lina, the main characters, getting out of the city of Ember with the whole population of Ember. They arrive at the city of sparks and the people living there are very surprised because the number of people that have come to the city was over 300 people. They do greet them although they are worried that they might not have enough food to give to everyone. So, the mayor of Sparks decide to only let the people of Ember stay for a short time.
Soon, the people of Ember learn that there are only a few cities above the ground, and the people of sparks are very surprised by the fact that the people of Ember have lived underground for all this time that they have been living above the ground. Also, the people of Sparks tells the people of Ember that there was a great war between the cities and that was why there are so few surviving cities. The people of Ember go around learning new things about the City of Sparks. There is more of the book, but writing more would spoil it, so this is the end of the book report.
