I took part in the Gangnam Seocho swimming competition hosted by the local education officer. It took place on the Jamsil student pool. The pool is a 50 meter, unlike the 25 meter pools in ordinary pools and 2 meters deep. But it really isn’t count because most of the pool had a platform that made the pool shallow. In the morning, I was really in a bad state. I couldn't go to sleep last night and I wanted to sleep until 10 a'clock. However, I got up and ate breakfast, which wasn't not much. A banana and 4 spoons of fried rice. My teacher said that you can't have a stomach full of food while you'r swimming or it will make you slower. When we came, it was still about 7:50. I met with the teacher and my friends and went in to the pool. We were going to do warming up from 8 o'clock to 9 o'clock and the water was absolutely freezing. Go to the bathroom right now and turn on the faucet, to the point where the coldest water comes out. The water was about a lot colder than that. The moment I got in, I felt like I was having goose bumps, and maybe I did. There were a ton of kids there, a lot of swimming teams, the team penguin, the JDH, and a lot others, including our team, the galaxy. and a lot of mothers and fathers. It really annoys me when there are a bunch of grown ups there when students who have a competition in front of them are weaving through them with great hardship. I met a boy who was once in our class but gave up. It turned out that he moved to another swimming academy. I had a bit of strange feeling. Just last year, he was on our team, and suddenly, he is on the other side!
The competition started. I was going to swim freestyle and back stroke. I waited and at last it was my turn. I was on the number-1 rein for freestyle. Too bad for me, I was the slowest and it was 50 seconds! For just 50 meters! The record I needed to have was at least 45 seconds! I think I did bad on the back strokes too. At home, I got a phone call from my friend who was supposed to take part in the swimming competition but didn't. " Hello? Olivia, what is it? Oh, the swimming competition... "
