Voting the Class President

On Tuesday, we voted the class president. In our school, we voted the class president on Tuesday, which was March 6th and voted the school president on March 9th.I was going to go out to the class president. I was the president at 3rd and 4th grade and I liked speaking in front of my class. It made me fun and it felt like I had a lot of responsibility. I thought that even though you do not become the president, even going in to the election is worth it. I think it does take a lot of courage to go and make a speech in front of the whole class.

I started preparing my speech about one week before the class president. I made it about the Pyeongchang Olympics.I think that people who were volunteering in the Olympics did a good job. They did not get any rewards but it was a good choice to volunteer in the Olympics. When I was an adult, I would volunteer too.I want to be like a volunteer who helps other people but also does there job with all their effort.

Three people went out for the girl president, and also three people went out for the boy president. One each were going to...... try again in the second half of the year. Since all of the people were very close friends of mine, it felt a little uncomfortable. But I had more thoughts to become the class president. I happened to be the last. I did not feel that nervous but I was sweating. When I think now, maybe I was nervous.

I was the 6th, the last one to make a speech. With my nervous mind, I walked out from my chair. I would not really talk about HOW I did my speech but I think it was okay. I did not make any mistakes.

It was the scary time when we count the votes. Every time me or my friends' name came out, it made me so scary. But, to conclude, one got 5 votes, other got 6 votes and I got 13 votes. I did feel good to be the president but I mostly felt sorry for my friend who did not become the president.

I think it was a very good experience. I hope I can overcome my fear of shaking when I am making a speech in front of many people.
