Water Rice Cake

Writer's picture: ChaewonChaewon

Hi guys~ It feels like it's been so long since we saw in Peai, though Cheusuk was super short and we didn't even get a break in Peai. Plus, it's getting REALLY cold outside. When you're inside, you're kind of hot. But when you're outside, the story changes. I thought I was going to freeze on the way to school.

On this Thursday, which was practically yesterday, we took a test for history. Well, actually, it's not a " history " test, it's social studies but it's about history. It's from the stone age until the unification of the three nations, Goguryeo, Baekje, and Silla.

My friend Serin did this deal to me and Yeonjin. The deal was that if she got a 100 on this social studies test, she will buy me and Yeonjin each a " water rice cake." In Korean, it's called " meul dduk."

We took the test in the morning, so we got our tests results in the afternoon. Serin really did get 100! Serin is always perfect in history. She knows almost everything, and she loves history too.

So my point is, she bought water rice cake to us. It was the first time in my whole life tasting it. It was super tasty and delicious.

The best way to get it when you didn't get a 100 and still want the food: beg your friend!! (It's not the best solution, but you can use it anyway, I use it sometimes too^^;;)
