About a few days ago, almost everyone in our school class thought that the war was finally going to end and there would be peace. I’m pretty sure that this wasn’t just for our class because the elementary school kids rejoicing was even in the news. Anyway, my point is that tons of people were rejoicing and waiting till the meetings between president trump and Kim Jung Un began. However, then one day the meeting was suddenly cancelled.
What had happened was that a North Korean vice minister of foreign affairs (what a long title) called Vice president of the United States, Mike Pence a “Political dummy”. Then, trump responds by cancelling the meetings and writing Kim Jung Un a letter.
That is the letter that trump wrote to Kim. My Opinion about this incident is that this incident was very dumb. First of all, what was the “North Korean vice minister of foreign affairs” thinking when he insulted Mike Pence and called him a “Political dummy”? That’s like insulting a judge at a competition you are about to win. Also, I don’t think that Trump should have cancelled the important peace talks between North Korea and the United States just because the “North Korean vice minister of foreign affairs” insulted the vice president. I guess that it was a bad insult, but I don’t really understand the meaning of it. Maybe it means that a person who is only good at politics? Anyway, I don’t think that that can justify the cancellation of the Peace Talks. So, I guess that History repeats itself and again the peace talks have failed.
I was very surprised and annoyed when trump canceled the meeting. I mean, why would anyone cancel an important event just because they were insulted. Also, I think that a 'political dummy' was not an insult.
