This is a real story of my dad’s friend, who went to a country in Europe a few years ago.
My dad’s friend was in a cafe, drinking coffee. He was talking to his friend, who came to travel together with him. He was hanging his backpack at the back of the chair. He was leaning back on the chair and laughing, talking to his friend. Then, he leaned forward instead of backward to put the coffee down on the table. He leaned back again, but suddenly he felt that something was weird. When he turned around, there was no backpack at the back of the chair. A pickpocket stole it when he leaned forward! In that short moment, the pickpocket stole it and just ran away with it. Oh, such annoying pickpocket skills they have!
The backpack was really important because it had many materials, and the worst thing is, the passport was inside it. Also, the flight back to Korea was the day right after that day. My dad’s friend immediately ran to the place where it makes passports. Well, I am not sure about this part because I am not sure if it made passports or it was something else. Anyway, when he ran inside there, he almost gave up because the line was very long. However, he waited and waited, and finally his turn came. He told the person about the situation, and thankfully that person finished that work before the flight. If the person was a little slower, he might’ve missed the plane!
He still says that it was a horrible experience. And today, from this lesson, I want you to know that if you go to Europe, BE CAREFUL OF PICKPOCKETS!
