I really like this book because it has South Korea words in it; only a little, but still. Also, it is scary which I like. It is about the main character Harper's little brother seeing strange things, like ghost. Harper's family has moved to a new house which everyone calls it the haunted house. According to him, he says the spirit's name is Billy and Billy wants to be friends with him. However, Billy, real name William, was actually very bad, so he tries to posses Michael(little brother) and have a new body. When Harper sees the Ghosts trying to posses Michael, she tries to stop them. However, the ghosts become mad of her and start to hurt Harper. Will she be able to remember the whole thing(she had lose her memory because of a trauma) and stop the Ghosts? Who is William? What quest is waiting for Harper?
*** Shhh! This part contains a bit of spoiler, so if you want to read it by yourself, don't read it!
I liked there were Korean words such as "Omona", which means 'Wow' in English and "Mudang". I was surprised how Harper's Grandmother was a "Mudang" and she could also see ghosts. She was a spirit hunter, too. I loved the ending like how Harper get's to be a Junior spirit Hunter.
*** For the ones that want to know the ending, look here!
Harper was able to catch William by her grandmother and her friend's help. However, she finds out the new ghost "Professor Grady" inside Michael's body. He tries to posses Michael again, so Harper kills him by using Mudang's bells and salt. William had actually lived in house, and he was a bad kid for the first time. However, he tries to kill his little brother, but actually William falls into the well because the wooden board he was standing had broken. So when he died he became a bad spirit. -The End-
P.S. There is a second book "The Island of monsters", too! I'm gonna buy it!!! :)
