Marie Antoinette-what comes first in mind when you think of her? Well first for me, it kind of is hard to pronounce her last name. Lets try it everyone: A-n-too-ii-net. If you say this faster and faster, it would like be a tongue twist. Or maybe you are thinking about the phrase "Let them eat cake." and think of cake and pastries, and you might lick your tongue with lavish thoughts right this moment. Well no matter what you think, there are a lot of misunderstanding of this woman. I will first run down some basic facts for her, and move on to the misunderstanding and more interesting facts. Marie Antoinette was born in Austria and then moved to the queen of France and married King Louis XVI. Even though I don't know that they really loved each other, she was only there to lay a baby son. But right in the moment while they were living in their beautiful lives, the famous "French Revolution" took place. This happened in reasons like their was a big drought and people were starving, but only the monarchy were decorating themselves, collecting money from the citizens and the citizens infuriated and started to create a government themselves and rebelled against the king and queen. And then came the hero~ of France: Napoleon! Well going back to the king and queen, many many people think that this is because both the king and queen always played and did not care about their citizens, and that the queen always spent the money for like makeup, food, parties and more. But even though that is somehow true, according to Historians, it is quite untrue and uncharacteristic for Marie Antoinette. Despite her own lavish and beau~tiful lifestyle and decorations, she was an intelligent woman who "donated generously to charitable causes" and also "displayed sensitivity toward the poor population in France." So actually she did not deserve the stuff, but rather should be saved from the people because she was very generous to the French population, but probably died to the misunderstanding, and thinking that the bride of the mean king would also be mean. (Which is kind of a nonsense theory.) Well she died by her head cut off from the guillotine, well that is a poor fact.
Well, even though this is homework and stuff, you MUST know the true fact in this lady. For Antoinette-there are a lot of us to learn about her and discover the facts.
