For this school lecture camp, our Korean dance team choose to do sword dancing. For the sword dancing, we use short and pointy swords that make you very hurt if you get hit by it. However, when you are sword dancing, because you spin around the sword very fast, it naturally just hits your elbow even though you wear a very thick clothes and makes a bruise on the elbow.
For me, I am very scared of everything so I was worried that I might get hit by the sword in the face when I'm holding and spinning it in the air. So, when the 6th grade sister told me that I should straighten up my elbow, I accidently politely declined her with my gestures because I kept on not straighten up my elbow.
Our sword dancing had 13 gestures that were all very confusing and hard to remember. Also, because I wasn't there for 1 day and a half in 3 days, that made me more confusing because the other sister had to teach me the sequences.
In the last day, our teacher said that we would take test to see if we remembered all of them. I was very confused because I had to remember the complicated thing that I learned from a sister today. I was very nervous, but I was okay until the 10th gesture and after that, my hands collapsed very confused what to do. However, it was very nice of our teacher that this wasn't the audition but just a checking test. So, I still have a chance that I can do well in the audition again and perform at the stage.
