The Book That I Recently Read

A few days ago, I read a book named “The Beast and the Bethany” by Jack Meggitt-Phillip. It was a book that my dad bought from a bookstore a week ago. When he bought that and came home, I was in another book, so I didn’t have time to read this book. After I read the book I was reading, I started to read this book, “The Beast and the Bethany.” Now get ready to read my book review!

*I will not spoil the whole story of the book, I will just tell the basic settings*

Once, there lived a guy named Ebenezer Tweezer, who looks like he is not over 20 years old. However, the truth is, that he is actually 511 years old! The reason why he could live THAT long was because of a monster which lived in Ebenezer’s house. If Ebenezer gave the monster what it needs, the monster gave Ebenezer the potion to live longer and become much younger. Since Ebenezer wanted to live longer, he gave the monster whatever it wanted. Even when the monster ordered him to get a really special bird, Ebenezel gave it. Only 20 of the birds existed when the monster ordered him to get one of the species. Then one day, the monster ordered a child. And this order changes Ebenezel’s life…

When I saw the cover of this book, I thought that this is a boring book that little kids read. However, when I started to read it, I couldn’t stand up before I flipped the last page! The book was a children’s book and it had some childish things inside, but the creativity and the wonderful characters were very impressive. The story was very good, too. Finishing this book review, I would like to highly recommend this book “The Beast and the Bethany” to you!
