Today is a day where students need to write a "formal blog". A Formal Blog does not use FANBOYS(for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so) at the start of a sentence. They also do not use O-no-ma-to-poeia(sound words like 'BOOM'). And Filler Words(um, uh, er, ah, like, okay, right, you know) are also a limit. If all these are a limit, what should we write about? This student Jake wants to write about the Dolphins in Mythology.
Delphin
Delphin is the messenger of Poseidon, and god of the dolphins.
The famous story about Delphin is about Poseidon's marriage. Poseidon had loved the godess Amphitrite, and tried to marry her. However, Amphitrite had no love for Poseidon, and ran away. When Poseidon was depressed, it was the Dolphin god Delphinus who went to persuade her. The result was success, and for the prize to Delphin, Poseidon made new stars in the sky, making the constellation 'Delphinus.'
2. Dionysus
Dionysus is famous for turning people into dolphins. (Read PJO 1)
Once, pirates had captured the wine god Dionysus(Bacchus), because they had mistaken him as a prince. Dionysus outraged, and turned the boat's oars into snakes. Still, Dionysus gave them mercy and turned them into dolphins.
3. The Greek Coin
There is a engraving of a man riding a dolphin on the back of Greece's coins. It was discovered that the man was Taras, the son of Poseidon. The scene is when he was saved from a shipwreck, by the dolphin that his father sent him.
