Energy

windyga75

Today in school there was a class about Energy, now energy is everywhere. It is in our body, your fme, your car and your city. Energy is the ability to do work and set things to do. Now, there are two types of energy. They are called potential energy and kinetic energy.

Potential energy is energy wanting to be released. In the passage it said that something like a compressed spring has potential energy because of it;s position. Potential energy can be found in objects that are about to move and and are compressed to be soon released.

Kinetic energy is the energy an object has when it is moving. A person dancing, a baseball flying through the air, and a waterfall are all examples of kinetic energy. Kinetic energy happens when something moves.

When something falls, before it falls and just dangles it has potential energy and when you push the object, it makes kinetic energy, thus it is converted into kinetic energy.

For an example, there is a ball on the cliff and it is just there. Then it has potential energy. And then someone hits it with a long object like a stick and it moves and rolls off the cliff, going down and down. The stick causes the ball to move, converting the potential energy of the ball into kinetic energy.

So this is what was in the book of science that was handed out in my academy today. IT IS BORING
