On April 25th, Sunday, my dad and I went out for a ride at the Han River. This time, it wasn’t a time where I just went out and rode my bike for fun. This time, I had a specific reason for it. I was setting off for a short trip to collect one of the ‘Korea’s Cross Country Cycling Road Tour’ stamps. So here is how it all started. Our family watched an MBC TV program called “Three-Park”. There, the Ji-sung Park that we all know very well, rode a bike with his friends and collected stamps on a bicycle passport. So, my dad and I decided to do that too, at least a little. And Sunday became the day. It was the first time doing such a thing, I expected it to be great, and to be proud of myself already. I got tired a lot, but it was okay. It made my mind really cooled and refreshed when looking at the blue river. I wish I could share the scenery with you. After riding some more, we finally got to the red booth. I put the stamp on my passport and also left a picture. It was just one picture, and it is just a starting point, but I felt enormous pride in it. We came back home, and this time, it wasn’t that tiring. The trip meter indicated that I rode for 27.3 kilometers, which is the longest personal ride record so far. Yeah, my previous record of 24 kilometers was broken. I am planning to make my distance longer and longer. I recommend you do this too if you are very comfortable with riding bikes for long periods of time. I bet that Ji-sung Park was just as proud as I was.
Great for you Ry!! Go Ryan!!! (And LG)
