Hunger Games!

Hi, people! Today, I am going to show you a recent book I read. It is the Hunger Games, the first episode of the series. I read the book because of the title, book cover, and author (Suzanne Collins). She also wrote the Gregor and the underlanders series. I heard that the Hunger Games series was fun and famous, so I picked it up.

I started reading it, and I liked it (the beginning)! It wasn’t too boring, it didn’t have a lot of romance. Then, as it got to the middle, there was this killing game called Hunger Games. One boy and girl, age 12 to 18 gets picked from every 12 districts to get to the Capitol, fight and kill to live, and win the games. It was survival, adventure, and war stories, which I liked the most.

But there were some parts that I didn’t like. For example, I don’t know if the author did this on purpose, but she put some parts with love, romance, etc. And I feel very uncomfortable and want to skip that part. But I am sure almost everyone in this class would hate very romance-y things, right?

I know some of you do and some of you don’t like spoilers. But to be safe, I will not write any spoilers except the basic background information. As I told you before, the nation of Panem is divided into 12 districts, ruled by the Capitol. As punishment for a failed revolt, each district is forced to select two tributes, one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18, to fight to the death in the annual Hunger Games until there is only one survivor.

Anyway, I like this book and want to recommend it to you, IF you can survive the part with love (you can just hurry and skip that part if you want, k?). See you next time and bye~!
