Harry Potter was and still is amazing, yet JK Rowling failed to be perfect in her writing. Today, I’m gonna talk about everything that went wrong with one of the most beloved fictional characters, Harry Potter. (I know this is pretty out of the blue, but he just kinda popped into my head.)
Harry Potter is a 11 year old boy at the start of the Harry Potter franchise. He is somehow unbelievably normal despite being abused for 11 years straight by his mean old aunt, uncle and cousin who raised him on behalf of his deceased parents. More than half of abused children since young become violent, isolated, or mentally unstable. They rarely become heroes who fly on magic brooms and save the day! By the least, traumatized children remember their experience of being abused from time to time, yet Harry is somehow so cool and over his past of serious abuse. I guess I can cut him so slack. This is a fantasy novel. Weird stuff is allowed to happen.
Another weird fact! If Hogwarts knew that Harry Potter was so special, why give him to an abusive family? Let’s say they didn’t know that the family was surprisingly evil, blah blah blah. Yet isn’t it obvious that if you just leave an infant on the doorsteps who has a weird scar and no guardians, people will definitely not like that baby?! Talk some common sense here dumbledore. You are such a smart pants to be an extremely talented and respected wizard. You should probably have expected this! If Dumbledore couldn’t raise Harry himself, at least send him to a family that is willing to adopt a child!
Lastly, about that scar. How is it red? Long, years lasting scars can rarely maintain red because overtime the flesh and cells around the wound cover up the scar, making it disappear or making the scar a white color. A scar is red when the skin around is freshly peeled off and when the scar was recently formed. Seeing that Harry’s scar lasts for decades, the scar should be white, not red. Well, I guess J.K Rowling would have made the scar red anyways. Red scars are cooler than white ones.
So, that was mostly what I have to say about Harry. Next time I will go over the prettiest Harry Potter cast, Hermoine Granger. See y'all later!
Well, the Dursleys weren't absolutely Not willing to take Harry. When Dudley gets demented, Vernon tries to kick him out but petunia says no, and Dumbledore explained why he left Harry to the Dursleys in Book 5. Lily's blood mixes with Petunia's so as long as Harry called their house a home, it was the best protection he had. And being famous at a young age is bad for you.
