Math problems are stupid. And that's a fact. They all don't make sense and make up a fake world that will never exist. For example, yesterday, I was (very innocently) doing my math problem. It said "How many hours and minutes will this take?" and then I started answering it, and I got 3 hours.
Well, since it said hours and minutes, I thought that my answer was wrong and changed it to 1 hour and 30 minutes. And guess what the answer was. 3 hours!!!
And look at this problem (it is very long) "A's school was marching somewhere and they lined up in 1 line that was 1km. A is the president of the last class in line, so he's last in line. A has to say something to a person who is first in line, so he walks three times as fast as the others to get there. He says the news and then waits for 1 hour and 30 minutes so that he can return to his spot".
I mean what kind of idiot waits for 1 hour and 30 minutes, I may ask. The whole problem doesn't make sense. These are what make math textbooks these days. They make up this world where everyone is a robot, walking 2km/h precisely, a gardener who plants trees every 5 meters.
The problem that I hate the most are these "trick" questions. Find out what X is! Answer is, X does not exist!
Seriously, please, to all the people who make this junk, make it at least a bit realistic. What kind of dummy walks on railroad tracks when the subway is working?? And if there's a hole in a tub, fix it, don't order me to calculate! I am not a plumber. Our lives, because of these problems, are becoming much and much complicated because of this stuff. We really can't change any of these, but keep in mind, if you guys ever wanna be a person-who-makes-a-textbook, please do not make up an imagery world. Thank you!
