It was a spring evening at Gyeng- Ju. My family and I were walking to go see a cultural heritage site. That was when we saw a car stuck on a railroad crossing because of the heavy traffic ahead. Suddenly, the railroad crossing arm went down and an alarming sound came out. It meant that the train was coming. We first thought that the train would come at the speed of about a monorail that we use to move around at an amusement park. But the train was coming fast just like a KTX train! The cars were packed and it looked like the train was coming toward the cars every second and then hit the cars and let them fly! Drivers were in a hurry to lift up the railroad crossing arm and thankfully, the front car went a little forward, so the car that was in serious danger could not let the terrible accident happen. It did move forward, but in the blink of an eye, the train went by without reducing its speed and it almost hit the car’s tail bumper! People were so terrified and alarmed. I sweated bullets! It was one of the scariest moments in my life. It happened in less than one minute. I mean, if the car was hit by the train, I wouldn’t be here right now, writing this blog post. Then, I knew how important and worthy my life was. After the scary event, we enjoyed the rest of the day. I hope an event like this never happens again.
god that must've been scary...
