Once upon a time, there was a young man called Delphinus, which means dolphin in Latin. Delphinus was the son of the sea god and a talented sailor and swimmer smarter and wiser than any of his peers. The king was fond of Delphius’s great skills and so trusted Delphius with the risky mission of going to Rabodia, an island full of gold. The king has wanted to trade Rabodia’s immense amount of gold with his top-class rubies. But the path to Rabodia was dangerous because there were storms, strong currents, and sharp stones everywhere. There were even pirates with high reputations for being merciless and greedy. But Delphinus took the king’s order, as he felt eager to complete the task for his holy king. Even when Delphius’s fiancee, his family, and friends clung to his feet to not go, Delphinus wasn’t even the slightest moved.
Delphinus and 50 other sail mates went through sharp rocks piercing the boat. They met storms that would dump the ship in whole. They met currents that would lead the mates to drownage or a wound. Delphius’s father could have helped Delphinus, but the sea god was solving a crisis on an island called Starbordia and was too busy to help Delphinus. Yet they made it to Rabodia, with only 33 mates left on the boat, including Delphinus. The rubies were all in place, but the sailors definitely were not. Everybody was covered in scars. Their dark circles almost reached their cheeks. And everybody was as skinny as a skeleton. And the boat into a chunk of wood. But with the slight hope of going home, everybody made the trade and hopped back on the boat, now fixed. Yet on their way back, they saw a flag… Black with a skeleton drawn on… Everybody’s greatest fear came to reality. They have met the jolly roger ruled by a man called captain green beard. Captain green beard had heard the news that a ship full of gold was on its way and was waiting to raid the ship. Delphius’s men fought fiercely, but they were no match to captain green beard’s strong and bloodthirsty pirates. The pirates yet made a huge mistake of throwing their victims into the blue, clear sea…
Now finally done with the whole Starbordia crisis, the sea god was enraged that the pirates would throw all these wounded people into the ocean. So the sea god decided to help Delphius’s men and doom green beard’s pirates. The sea god took some drowned but survived Delphinus men and healed their wounds while drowning the jolly roger and putting Delphius’s mates back on to their now built, huge, strong boat. But before captain green beard died, he pierced a sword in the top of Delphius’s head and threw Delphius into the sea. Delphinus was now too hurt to be recovered. The sea god was so badly hurt. He blamed himself for being busy and leaving his son on such a dangerous mission.
With all his power, the sea god transformed Delphius into a new creature so that he can live on. It was a creature with Delphius’s favorite color; silver. The creature had excellent swimming skills and was as wise and smart as Delphinus was in his past. On the top of his head was an airhole that keeps Delphius alive, transformed from the hole that caused his death. Delphinus has become the very first dolphin. Later, Delphinus swam to shore, where his fiancee sat. The sea god was right beside Delphinus, explaining the situation. Then, the sea god asked Delphius’s fiancee to jump in the swirl of sea foam to follow Delphinus. With no hesitation, Delphius’s fiancee jumped into the seafoam and became the very first female dolphin. And today, Delphius’s children lurk around us.
But the next time you see a dolphin, don’t think of them as a cute gray creature but once a brave and young sailor.

Hey, cool story! It's sad but wonderful.
