Ok. So I said in my last blog that I will write about Ron Weasley, but I suddenly got a new topic. So, as some of you guys know, I have an elder sister 3 years older than me. And a lot of our classmates have brothers and sisters as well, old and young. There are… Many interesting things about having an elder sibling. Thereby, this is the sibling dictionary! Let me list out a few.
Divided parts
One of the most annoying things of having an elder sibling is having to accept that an elder sibling becomes sorta your substitute-parent when your parents aren’t around you. I mean, it is very, very frustrating to be taught by your parents to follow your couple years old sibling as much as your couple decades older parents. I heard from my friends with younger siblings that it drives them mad when their siblings disrespect them despite being younger. A tip for older siblings who don’t want to put their younger siblings into danger mode: Don’t think like that. Ever.
Fault placement
Something I hear from all people with siblings; ‘My sibling told my mom that I did something wrong when I didn’t and they did!’ Common stuff. To speak on the side of younger siblings who are always told that they cried and blamed their older siblings, first of all, we don’t always cry. Making fake tears is hard. Second, honestly, these types of actions are made by younger siblings because they are often mad about being told to follow their siblings and the older sibling being the ‘responsible’ one. So again, just don’t make your younger sibling mad.

Under most circumstances, people with younger siblings somehow earn a ‘responsible’ image for caring for their siblings. Younger siblings get the ‘playful’ image for ‘always’ asking their older siblings to play with them. Umm… Why? This can always be vice versa and is not right for a lot of the time. So don’t believe in them.
Names
You know how a lot of moms are called ( )’s mom? Well, in most cases, the elder sibling is in the blank. Not that happy about it.
This is it. Congratulations on finishing the first page of the sibling dictionary! I’ll write another post about this topic if I can come up with any more interesting facts. Until then, bye!
