The world's strangest, but clever trash cans

You must have seen trash rolling on the streets. And how to make trash get into trash cans was a problem for some people. Today, I will tell you some of the world’s strangest, but clever trash cans.

First, let’s look at some trash cans in Germany. There is a trash can that makes a sound that lets us hear an object falling into a deep well. If you press the start button, it makes a ‘Game Start’ sound and if you put trash in the trash can, the points go up. Germany is known for recycling very well, but I was still fascinated! I think the Germans did that because most people like games and if they made a trash can into a game style, they must have thought that people would throw away trash better and the streets would be clean.

Next, there is a trash can in India that gives free WIFI if you put the trash inside it. Its name is ‘WIFI Bin’. After you put the trash inside the bin, a LED screen shows you the WIFI password. You can get an internet connection for 15 minutes in a distance of 15 yards (approximately 13.7m). This has also been famous in Mumbai’s concert stadium. Concert stadiums are very likely to be filled with people and trash. And since people wanted it so much, the stadium has been very clean since the ‘WIFI Bin’ had been installed. I would like it too.

Third, ‘Pugedon’ in Turkey, gives food to street cats if Turkish people put in empty plastic bottles. Turkey has a lot of street cats and people living in Turkey care for street cats very much. So, these trash cans were made. I bet street cats are waiting for Turkish people to put in bottles if they are starving^^

Lastly, people can vote by putting cigarettes into trash cans in England. For example, there was a trash can that said “Who is the best soccer player in the world? Messi? Ronaldo?”. People can put in cigarette stubs to vote. When I saw this, I was surprised. I wish I could vote, but I am not allowed to buy cigarettes.

The reason why we need these types of trash cans is that we can reduce trash such as cigarettes, water bottles, food waste, and more. People like these because they are interesting and keep motivating people to find trash near them and let them go to their real homes. For people in Turkey, I think the ‘Pugedon’ was made because the trash can is using the citizen’s great care and love for street cats and dogs. I would build a trash can that would play music of your choice if you put trash in it. Also, the trash can could say compliments like “You look great today!”, “Thank you for saving the Earth!”, etc. I think people will keep making these smart trash cans because most people don’t pay a lot of attention to trash cans and just go by them. But if they are interesting, people will be more likely to throw away any trash they have, and there will be less waste on the streets that may pollute the environment. And the reason that we don’t have to worry about money is that some people and companies might be willing to pay for or invest in companies that make special trash cans.
