Did you ever want something special and sophisticated without buying something really special? Well, there were two “gold hands (translate it in Korean)” that I saw in a video. They made things that looked like it was made by robots or real famous crafters famous throughout the world. But, they were made by just normal people.
First, there was a skilled person who made a lot of things out of wood. He showed us the things he made:
(Sorry, there are Korean letters on them. This is a picture screenshotted from YTN [Yonhap Television News] Science youtube channel, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dweIG_2Kx7A)
I was really surprised when he said he made them all. As I looked closely, I could see he made them himself with wood, and just painted them.
He then showed us a digital clock that is one thousand won. He ripped it apart and left only the part of the electronic module. Next, he made some wooden parts and placed them around it, making a shape from a robot in Star Wars (AT-AT). When he finished it, it looked fabulous like a very delicately made artwork.
(Korean, sorry^^)
Next, there was another “gold hand”. She said she made a cutting plate (도마) that looked like a beach and the sea with waves.
I first thought that she was just lying, and she just bought the cutting late. But when she showed us how she made it, I was surprised and had to accept that she IS a gold hand. She made the stuff out of resin. So, it looked lifelike. For example, here is the wave cutting board she made:
I’m not kidding, she REALLY MADE THIS, and she used a hairdryer after putting on white paint-mixed resin, to make the foam. I appreciate her creativity! I was surprised by her talent, and I knew she did this because she wanted to go to the sea, but she couldn’t. I quite agree with her because I want to be close to the ocean too. However, the ocean is not close by, so I could just look at the cutting board whenever I want to go.
Anyway, I think these two gold hands are cool and deserve fame. Their work is amazing. I hope you also found these works interesting!
