So yesterday, (on Friday,) i got a new violin. It was so shiny and sparkly!! As some of you have noticed through zoom, in my background, there is a violin sitting on the piano. I take lessons twice a week on Wednesday and Friday. And I started it when I was in America in 3rd grade and just fell in love with it. What really is surprising is the fact that my violin was made in Germany in 1942. That’s a REALLY long time ago.
So yesterday, i was supposed to do all of my peai homework, but i got distracted thinking about my new violin.the whole reason i am going to go get a new violin was because the old one was too small for me now. So at 4p.m, My sister went to play with her friend at the playground, and then at 5, we drove to get my violin. My violin teacher recommended getting my violin from there, so we went. It was a really small place, but really nice and cozy. There were violas, violins. Humongous cellos, and even cases for these instruments. This one guy came up with 3 violins and told me to play something for each one and hear the difference between them. The first one was pretty good, the second was also really good, but the third one, not so much. So then I was left with 2 choices. The first which cost 500,000 won and the second one which was 600,00 won. ( the third one that i didn’t like was 800,000 won)honestly i like the 2nd one better than the first, so that’s what my mom got me. She seemed happy to get me a new violin. Then, I got a new case. A new bow, and everything else. It was beautiful. I thanked mom, and we went out to eat at a popular diner.
So I made a decision. I was going to play the violin for a VERY long time. Because after all, I don't do it because mom tells me to, I do it because I love it.
Congratulations Emma!
