Hermione Granger was not friendly towards Harry and Ron at first. But she became their friend after battling an ugly mountain troll together in the girl's toilets. As explained by J.K. Rowling, 'There are some things you can't share without ending up liking each other, and knocking out a twelve foot mountain troll is one of them."
FIRST YEAR(BOOK)
Ron: Sunshine, daises, butter mellow, turn this stupid, fat rat yellow!!
Hermione: Are you sure that's a real spell?
Hermione's first appearance in the series left Harry and Ron both amazed and annoyed. They became friends however, When they fought off a troll and Hermione
took the blame. They practicaly became friends because of Quirrel setting a troll loose. Finally, at the end of the book, when Hermione talks to Harry in the room of potions, she says a legendary statement.
Hermione: Books! And cleverness! There are more important things-friendship and bravery-oh Harry-be careful!
THIRD YEAR(FILM)
Hermione: You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach!!!(wand at Draco's throat)
Draco: (whimper)
Harry: No, he's not worth it!!
Hermione: (turns around)
Draco: (sigh of relief)
Hermione: (turns around and smacks Draco)
I just LOVE this scene. Hermione usually sticks to rules unless she needs to defend her friends. However, Malfoy insulted Hagrid and Buckbeak. As a result, Malfoy experienced a bit of pain for his actions. Also, she was outraged when Rita Skeeter wrote negative stuff about Harry on the day of the Third Task. She then ran to the library, completly ignoring the fact that she had an exam in five minutes. Still, it was nowhere near to slapping an evil cockroach.
SEVENTH YEAR(BOOK)
Hermione: Merlin's pants! I'll be back in a minute!
Ron: Merlin's pants? She must be upset.
In the last book, before the three set out on their to destroy all Hocruxes,
Hermione removes the portrait of Phineas Nigellus from the wall in the Black house and puts it into her tiny handbag. The bag had been enlarged to fit anything, so the portrait fit easily. This has benefits such as Snape not being able to spy on them, and another benefit is that it annoys Phineas Nigellus, which is a great plus.
