Paper Books VS E-Books

In this time of the world, electronics and technology have stretched further than we would have expected just 30 years ago. Some of these advancements are beneficial to our daily lives. Others can improve the standard life we live these days. One of these creations is the E-Book. E-Books have grown popular during the years, and now many people carry one around in their hands, their bags, and even their phones. The reasons why they are MUCH better than paper books are because they can be easily transported, and they can hold up to literally THOUSANDS of books at a time.

Reason 1: They can be easily transported

Nobody can argue that E-Books definitely have the upper hand when compared to paper books in convenience. Not only is this electronic as thin as a finger, much thinner than a normal book, it can be accessed by the phone as well. Companies like Amazon have created an app called 'Kindle'. This app allows people to read the same books as your E-Book, but in a more compacted form than one. People don't even need to carry around their E-Book at all, if they don't want to. Carrying their phone will actually make it so much easier to transport. Secondly, they can fit into much smaller spaces than a normal book. This, too, makes it easier to take from place to place. Imagine someone had to study 5 books, but only has enough room in their bag for one. What do they do? They get an E-Book, of course! This will allow them to fit all five books in with room to spare. This will also be convenient when having to, for example, pack for an extra-long trip and want to take about 20 books or more. This will be much more space efficient than the thick, heavy, hard paper books.

Reason 2: They can carry multiple books at a time

This is also a fact that no one can object to. According to Ajit Panigrahi, a user on the site Quora, a single 1GB E-book can hold up to approximately 4000 books. That is an INCREDIBLE number of books for one electronic to hold. This will also circle back to the fact that the user can access multiple books at a time. Another thing to note is that it is only 1GB too. If there was an 8GB E-Book, for example, there would be enough space for a whopping 32000 books! Secondly, this will be extremely useful for studying multiple items. People can access different books with just a few taps, while with paper books they have to manually open and flip through them.
