Teamwork VS Solo

At school, teachers encourage teamwork. They squish you up into groups of four and tell you to make projects. They believe that kids work better when they are in groups or teams. Schoolbooks always include a lot of teamwork like making newspaper articles. You can't go through a single day of school without some kind of teamwork. A majority of people also believe that teamwork is better than working alone, and this causes them to produce pictures like the one shown above. However, I disagree because working alone can be more creative and avoid disagreements.

To begin, working alone can enhance creativity. When you are in a team, you usually aren't free think your own ideas. You must agree with the most popular person whether you like it or not. They are the most popular and if you don't agree, you will become isolated. Because you do this, you will not be able to come up with creative thoughts of your very own. However, if you work alone, you will be able to think deeply about the subject, and therefore come up with much more creative ideas. Another reason is noise. A group project is never quiet. 5 seconds after people are reminded to be quiet, a babble breaks out again. Teachers seem to have this impossible fantasy of groups working together in whispers, but, alas, it will never come true. When working alone, you can escape this ruckus and work in peace.

Furthermore, working alone can steer clear of many disagreements. Group projects mean arguments. Arguments about what the title should be, arguments about what color the title should be, arguments about who should write what, arguments for no reason at all. There is always one disagreement when it comes to teamwork. These small rows can lead to serious problems. When working alone, however, you can decide everything by yourself. You will only have yourself to disagree with. Because you decide for yourself, you can also learn several skills. You can gain more wisdom about decisions, which will be beneficial for the future. You will also gain courage and confidence about the responsibility of decisions.
