Fifty thousand people screaming and yelling. People around the world watching one TV program for ninety minutes. These are what soccer is to the world. Soccer is the most famous sport in the world, because the rule is simple, and teamwork is a big factor that leads to the score. There are some superb soccer players around the world that are making history in the world of soccer. Today, I will introduce some players that are the best in the world.
First, Messi. His full name is Lionel Andrés Messi Cuccittini, and he was born in 24, June 1987. As you can guess from his full name, he wasn't american. Instead, he is an Argentinan, born in Rosario. When he was young, he had"growth hormone deficiency", which is a disease that limits your height. Talking about childhood, his father was a factory worker and his mother was a cleaner. Even though his house was poor, and he was diagnosed by a disease that keeps you growing, he became a healthy, strong man and finally became one of the world's best players.
Second, this guy is called Neymar. His full name is Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, and he is a brazilian. He was born in 5 February 1992, and he is currently 27 years old. With 61 goals and 101 matches, he is the highest goal scorer in the world, right after Ronaldo and Pele. He debuted when he was 17 years old, and since he debuted so early, he was able to attend many matches. Neymar is on a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain through June 2022 worth $350 million in salary. He is the 6th most richest soccer player in the world, even though he is young.
Third, this guy is called Pele. He is old now, and retired, but he was legendary when he played.
When Pelé saw his father crying after Brazil lost the 1950 FIFA World Cup to Uruguay, he told him, “Don’t worry. One day I’ll win it.”
While he achieved recognition at the local level playing football in Brazil, the world was officially introduced to Pelé at the 1958 World Cup in Sweden. Showing remarkable speed, control and vision, the 17-year-old scored three goals in a 5-2 semifinal win over France, then netted two more in the finals, cementing a win over the host country.
No other football legend can lay claim to helping his national team lift the World Cup three times.
In 1999, he was voted World Player of the Century by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), and was one of the two joint winners of the FIFA Player of the Century award. That same year, Pelé was elected Athlete of the Century by the International Olympic Committee. According to the IFFHS, Pelé is the most successful domestic league goal-scorer in football history scoring 650 goals in 694 League matches, and in total 1281 goals in 1363 games, which included unofficial friendlies and is a Guinness World Record. During his playing days, Pelé was for a period the best-paid athlete in the world. But since he was born in 1940(When there was no Korea but Choson), he is 79 years old. He is my personal favorite, because he looks so kind and generous, and had made many foundations for poor people.
